The United States and European Union have finalized a massive trade agreement transforming transatlantic commerce. Here’s what U.S. importers need to know:

• Steel and aluminum tariffs stay at 50%, while the 50% copper tariff takes effect August 1, 2025; currently, no additional tariff applies to copper imports.
• The EU removes all tariffs on U.S. industrial goods, opening huge new export markets for American businesses.
• The EU will invest $600 billion in the U.S. economy and purchase $750 billion of U.S.
• energy exports through 2028, reinforcing U.S. energy dominance.
• Both parties commit to cutting red tape and maintaining zero duties on digital trade, including no network usage fees.
