ACM Global Freight, a division of ACM Logistics & Consulting Inc., provides freight forwarding and transportation coordination services to help businesses move cargo efficiently from origin to destination. Our services include international ocean and air freight, domestic transportation, rate sourcing, and shipment coordination.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Freight Clerk to support our daily freight operations, assist with shipment bookings, coordinate quotes, and maintain accurate shipment documentation.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with coordinating international ocean and air freight shipments.
Request freight rates and quotes from overseas agents, carriers, and transportation providers.
Track quote requests, compare rates, and maintain accurate quote records.
Assist with booking shipments and coordinating transportation from origin to destination.
Prepare, review, and maintain shipment documentation and operational records.
Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, customers, and internal team members regarding shipment status and requirements.
Update shipment information in company systems and spreadsheets.
Follow up on outstanding quotes, bookings, and shipment documentation.
Help resolve routine shipment delays, discrepancies, and documentation issues.
Provide administrative support to the freight operations team.
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general computer applications.
Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate professionally with customers and business partners.
Willingness to learn freight forwarding procedures and logistics software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or transportation.
Familiarity with ocean freight, air freight, import shipments, or international shipping documentation.
Experience requesting freight quotes or communicating with overseas agents.
